Security architecture and engineering

The main purpose of security architecture is to establish a design of security infrastructure that provides security to an organization. The security architecture should include the devices, security services. The security architecture needs to be designed that includes multilevel security. Security architecture uses different components like software, hardware, servers, processors, cryptographic systems etc. Boundary control services includes firewalls, proxies and edge routers that provide security to internal network against an unauthorized access. Access control services includes user authentication and SSO. Integrity services includes the security services that protects the individual devices from malware functions. In this we use Antivirus, Intrusion prevention systems.

Security in the SDLC

A network will be more secure by using SDLC. SDLC has five basic development life cycles. Security in SDLC process is maintained by Risk analysis in its operation and maintenance phase. In this we analyse risk related to our work environment or network, notice and documented. Our network security is analysed based on different sources such as software security, butter overflow, malware, cross-site scripting attack or SQL injection. There are different types of malwares that could harm our systems and software. The malwares include, trojans, Logic bombs, spyware etc. To protect against these malwares, we need to deploy some Anti-malware policies, scanners, Malware assurance etc. cryptography can be used to provide secure transmission of data.
