Reporting trends the media shape the reality
I agree with this article as it emphasizes the reality in today’s journalism, which is contaminated with the greed of fame and money. Most sensitive of the social issues like child abuses are often made spicy and little stress is given on the real research. The result is that such incomplete information misguides the public and the society is facing problems, which are very difficult to cure.
Social Impacts of News:
The news of Michael’s abusing act became famous that, all blogs, news sites and newspapers just jumped in a competition to overcome the others. The media published much filth related to the matter and the people enjoyed the whole lot of spices. The pop star died in depression but the media never left his soul to rest in peace. The media made much hype of this matter and the reporters went to indefinite height to make the matter more spicy and captivating. No one had the concrete proof of the child abusing done by Jackson, still the peoples’ perspective changed for the super star and many of the fans started hating Jackson.
Having a close look at the life history of Jackson we see that he was the person who was cheated by his “vast collection of friends”, he never knew that his every friend was behind his money. And the reporters made the image of a villain, which hurt Jackson throughout his life, till his death.
I think it would be better for the news channels to focus on reality to show the real picture of crime and its impact on society. In spite if showing the news just for fame the journalists should take steps for showing the well researched news, which should be free from any societal, racial or economic bias. So, there is a need of global journalism in present world.
