"Corrosive effects" of Corruption- Violates the human rights

There has been ample evidence when it comes to the impact of corruption on the right to food. according to the 2001 report which clearly indicated that one of the most essential obstacles that prevented the country from realizing the right to food was due to corruption. besides that, many of the countries have also recognized that corruption is a major driving factor that contributes significantly to food insecurity (De Beco, 2011). Furthermore, corruption is known for violating the right to food as it pushes the government and diverting funds, it was initially reserved for social spending. Corruption is known for violating several aspects when it comes to the right to health some of them include distribution of medical supplies and the relationship that is built between health workers in the patient (De Beco, 2011).

Impacting the right to health

Some of the other examples which portray the corruption impact on the human right such as:

  • Right to life: this right is threatened when the security officials are bribed so that they could permit a terrorist then in that case the corruption is violating the right to life.

According to the studies it has can be said that corruption is inversely related to when it comes to human rights. The studies believe that a higher level of corruption is inversely proportional to lesser human rights protection (Miller, 2014). According to the government, there are 4 critical ways through which human rights could be affected they are:

  • Corruption is considered to reduce the capacity of the government in terms to protect, respecting, and meeting the set human rights obligations. For example, A government that includes a corrupt court system then in that case cannot ensure to provide the right to justice to their individual. Besides that, a corrupt government police force could also provide security to their individual (Peters, 2018).

In the current scenario, it can be said that corruptions attack the main pillars when it comes to the justice system, that affects human rights when it comes to pre-trail or in the trial stage. The violation of human rights in criminal justice could be affected due to the poor ethics that make the detain the arrest by either relying on the fake evidence or because of the bribery. Access to the fair and legal proceedings of justice has been considered as a major issue related to human rights protection. therefore, it is important to have an anti-corruption measure so that they could preserve human rights when it comes to justice proceedings. According to El.kayed (1996) which states that the problem of injustice which takes place in the court system may take in any country that has been attributed because of the political corruptions which highlight the imbalance in terms of power, especially when it comes to the power of justice administration (Peters, 2018).

The term Human rights denote all the rights which are possessed by the individual directly or indirectly which are very crucial for human beings. Some of the rights are fundamental which are associated with the right to safety and life. These rights include justice towards mutual respect and some are above human dignity. Such rights are considered indispensable when it comes to dignified human life (Peters, 2018).
