2. My parents have always been there for me by supporting and protecting me. They have always wanted the best for their daughters. a) I grew up in Manhattan’s Upper West Side in a beautiful apartment building. b) We had no doors to our bedrooms in the apartment, as my parents always liked to know what was going on and what was being said.

3. From an early age I was interested in performing. I was always an entertainer. I had my eyes set on becoming a famous performer. a) As a child I was intrigued by rock and pop music. b) And I had learned to play the piano by the time I was four. c) By thirteen I had wrote my first song. d) And by fourteen I was performing at open mic nights.

By early 2006 I had begun singing with a couple of local glam rock bands. And soon accidentally I came across my first record deal. When a Def Jam executive signed me on the spot after hearing me sing in the hallway. This contract came to nothing. C. I then soon started performing with New York burlesque performer Lady Starlight. Lady Starlight was like my mentor. We appeared together as Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue, where many came to watch and it helped raise my public profile. D. I then landed another contract with a music label, but this time it was as a songwriter. I also had begun working on pop tunes with producer RedOne.

My work than attracted the attention of Sony and soon I was penning tracks for the Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears, and Fergie. From here I met Akon and he signed me to his own. E. Short months later my single “Just Dance” was released and resided atop of the charts of no fewer than seven different countries.
