Music as a medium of expression led to many influences. This resulted to various changes in the society as influenced by romantic music. For instance, the popularity of secular music grew during the era of renaissance. All the music, comedies, tragedies, poetry and dancing were provided at a variety of events such as feasts, jousting contests, coronations, and other important affairs. Music was well organized to appeal to the ear, eye and imagination of the listener. Music dramas involved compositions of borrowed folklores to influence the understanding of the composition. Various artist came together professionally to produce a marriage of musical and dramatic narratives.

Conclusion

Lieder, Opera, and music drama are all interrelated with one another, however; the main the all settle at a main theme, romance. Romantic music is an intense personal expression of emotions in which the fantasy and imagination play a significant role. Emphasis is mostly on lyrical or song like melodies that are longer, dramatic and emotional. It is clearly evident as described above that the three techniques of composing music are different in some ways. The lieder incorporate use of a piano and no special emphasis is given on costumes whereas opera gives more emphasis on costumes than the instrumentals. Music dramas incorporate both the quality of lieder and opera to form a masterpiece to communicate feelings and ideas.
