Communication is the interchange of ideas, sentiments, and intelligence through a variety of methods assisting organisations in their day to day tasks. Communications in organisations are attained via a variety of media outlets, predominantly amongst leaders in collaboration with their workers. Leaders govern, instigate and motivate their employees to reach organisational goals (Clegg, Kornberger & Pitsis, 2016) through the utilisation of different means of communication. I deem the advancement practices of leadership in the post-bureaucratic period correlate to managing communications, allowing managers to direct employees in a manner that better suits the needs and their work environment. This is coalesced through the styles of leadership addressed by Lippit, Kurt and White (1939) and argue the methods that articulate that managing communication in an organisation has evolved in the post-bureaucratic era. The discussion of altering beliefs of society and maintaining communication is vital in allowing leadership to mould to these fluctuations (Whitney, 1998). The progression of styles of leadership in post-bureaucratic times has developed from concentrating on individuals to centring their focus on the cooperation of a team, thus describing group communication within a workplace, consisting of; sub-groups and group dynamics informed by Dimitroff (2005) and Gosling & Bolding (2006). These arguments and references extrapolate the notion that leadership practices contribute to managing communication in the post-bureaucratic era.

The emotional phenomenon groupthink conveys a situation where people operating in an organisation have the desire to succeed while evading any conflict, resulting in members of

approaches of post bureaucracy are not unique methods, but industrialised and reinvented forms of the previous style (Josserand et al, 2006). Consequently, post-bureaucratic establishments have advanced from one centred on leaders and power, to a more corporate fixated on inclusion and united control by incorporating bureaucratic leadership.
