Adding a city for the new route is quite difficult as there is lots of research behind taking that decision. The routes are decided on where there is the scope of demand for the flight and where there is very limited competition. Adding a new route carefully could be a beneficial move for the airline as this will help them in getting an edge over the competition and will also help in generating more revenues. Considering all the factors which can impact the project is very important part for this project (Encloud, 1991). The first step in to check the feasibility of the project for that it is important to take into the economic consideration to understand the forecast of the potential passenger and demand for cargo for the planned routes (Encaoua, 1991). Creating a new route can be a great asset for the airline, coming up with a new route for the airline will create a great impact on the competitors. If the new route is created keeping all the major factors into consideration can be very beneficial for the airline. The new route will attract more passengers as it will provide a better traveling experience and a more convenient way of traveling. Creating new routes will attract multi-national brands to open their outlets at the airport (Encaoua, 1991). The new route will not only attract passengers but the good movement. Air transportation provides a fast means of delivering goods, the transportation of fragile and perishable good is very convenient with air transport.

From the above discussion, we can clearly say that adding a new route will be very beneficial for them. It will increase their customer base and at the same will help them in increasing the profitability by analysing the scope of the project and the feasibility of the project, we can say this project has lots of scope as this will help them in expanding their customer base, and due to the less competition in the route will give them the absolute advantage in attracting the demand. Another advantage of Qantas is that they have enough capital to implement new routes. To implement this route, it will take around 5 months as it is a lengthy process in which lots of authorization and feasibility of the proposal are conducted apart from this advertisement of the new routes, hiring the new staff/crew, and making everything legal also takes a lot of time. After estimating everything, we can say that it will take Qantas for nearly 5 months to make this possible.
