There has been a significant increase in Internet usage that has propelled a sharp rise in internet sales. Due to such change, the companies are forced to adapt to the new trend that is inclined towards the internet sales, which is directly impacting the logistics as they have to adopted a new version of “distribution infrastructure” so that the company can efficiently manage their sales on the online platform(Kale, Evers & Dresner, 2007).

Re-shoring or back shoring

Re-shoring is considered a process in which the company opts to re-locate the domestic manufacturing that was in a foreign land to back their home country. Usually, they can company indulge in shoring in order to get the advantage of the lower wages or for increasing their market size.

According to the outcome-driven framework, technology advancement could be considered as in positive outcome in terms of cost, as the company will able to increase their performance as well as reduce their cost. In terms of responsiveness, technology advancement could be considered as a positive tool, as using this will help the company in analysing and monitoring the demand of the customer. For sustainability, technology advancement could be considered as a positive impact, as with the help of it the company could analyse the ways through which they can utilize their resources in an optimum way, which will reduce the waste level. In terms of resilience, it would be considered a positive impact, as with the technology advancement the company will be able to maintain transparency in a much better way, and every data will be analysed in a better way. in terms of innovation, it technology advancement could be considered as a positive impact, as adopting new technology will help the company in exploring the newly efficient method which could help them in delivering their goods on time as well as will facilitate a better option to cooperate within the major stakeholders(FAWCETT, WALLIN, ALLRED, FAWCETT & MAGNAN, 2011).
