Investigate the relationship between sbp and

Sex M=male, F=female

Age Age in years

HDL High density lipids (mg/dl)

LDL Low density lipids (mg/dl)

1. (5 points) Perform the necessary analyses for creating a table of pairwise associations between SBP and several variables, where the ‘several variables’ include sex, age, BMI, chol, HDL, LDL, and Tg. Make the table. For each variable, include in your table one or more statistics that summarizes that variables pairwise association with SBP, and include the accompanying p-value for testing the null hypothesis of no association between SBP and that variable. Briefly summarize your methods and results.

2

Provide the statistical method you used for your analysis.

Explain why you adjust for a certain covariates in the model.

Format

You need to turn in two files: one SAS file and one word document.

Students will work in a group of three or four classmates. Each member will receive the same score for the paper write-up. If any of your group members does not contribute, or contributes very little to the group project, please e-mail me directly. I will either adjust the score or give a 0 score to the person who didn’t participate to the project entirely.

3

If you are not responding to project e-mails from other team members and you are reported by other team members as not being responsive, you will receive 0 credit for the project.

It is difficult to clearly define non-contribution, or little contribution, to the group project. How-ever, if the majority of the team members agree that you either contributed very little, or did not
