Maggie’s story
When talking to Maggie you notice that she lacks eye contact and cries. Maggie has not had contact with her family or culture in the past 6 years and feels disconnected. Maggie’s has set up her safety plan which includes leaving a bag at the neighbours.

Chris is 31 year old and has just returned from two tours of combat in Iraq. Chris is married to Stacey and they have three children – Ella 9, Robert 7 and Krystelle 2. Chris has been discharged from the armed forces and has been working in an office for the past 2 years.
Chris has panic attacks. Chris has been meeting with you as he lacks motivation and often feels angry. You have been working with him on strategies to manage stress and anxiety. Chris cries constantly through the session and lacks eye contact, but is able to express his emotional distress of the situation, but tends to get frustrated and angry.
