Passions and returned the horse john byro

2. Did the boys return the horse to its rightful owner because they were conscience- stricken or because they were afraid?

They were conscience stricken. They belonged to a family which had earned name and fame for integrity and honesty. No member of the tribe could ever be accused of dishonesty o any shady deal. Aram and Mourad dare not break that glorious tradition. They had to maintain the good name of their tribe. Hence they overcame their childish behavior, passions and returned the horse to John Byro. They feared too, that they may be considered as thieves, and put their tribe to shame by their actions.

John Byro was surprised to see his horse with Aram and Mourad. He studied the horse and looked into its mouth. He swore that it was his horse. However, he couldn’t doubt the honesty and integrity of the boys. No member of their family could be a thief. He convinced himself that the horse was the twin of his horse.

5. why did Aram refuse to believe that his cousin Mourad could even steal a horse?
