Present a 2000 word report that evidences primary research relating to a named operation (that means you identify and name the operation) and address the following operational strategies/considerations:
Identify the capacity strategy employed by your chosen operation. This should be considered for the planning cycle of one calendar year (12 months) and should include at least the following resources in the analysis:
Guidance notes for the successful completion of this assignment.
Consider:
Key suppliers, frequency of ordering, lead times from order to delivery, alternative ‘emergency’ suppliers etc.
Part 2. The report should then consider, via academic theory, the appropriateness of the capacity strategy identified above. Does the capacity strategy offer the most efficient, effective and economic approach for your chosen operation in their market place? Justify your assertions with evidence from theory and your research.
