The los angeles getty center and the los angeles
In December, just in preparation for tax-deductible transfers through 2017, Maria Hummer-Tuttle and Joanne Kozberg, the corresponding chairs of the board of directors and the patron scheme, wrote potential donors a letter saying: "We always suggest that the Getty can do something, but it cannot do everything”. The scheme for patrons includes various levels, ranging from either a friend ($1,000 a year) who would attend one guest exhibition opening to a partner ($25,000 a year) who is invited to all events and therefore can allocate the Getty Center's private dining room. Lacma is already $200 M behind of its $650 M fundraising target by the architect Peter Zumthor for a proposed campus transformation (FINKEL, 2018).

A rich assortment of almost 1,700 items, ranging from the late-12th to mid-20th centuries, is overseen by the Department of Sculpture and Decorative Arts. The European decorative arts properties, which J. In the 1930s, Paul Getty began acquiring, counted amongst these best in the world for the consistency, rareness, and historic significance. Objects produced in France there under reins of power of Louis XIV, Louis XV, and Louis XVI are of significant significance (Desmas, 2019) . The series of decorative arts often includes leading examples of furniture, silver, ceramics, glass, textiles, clocks, and gilded bronzes, and also medieval and Renaissance stained glass, dating from the Renaissance to the early 1800s. The European sculpture series, founded in 1984, has risen exponentially to include rare masterpieces created from of the Middle Ages through early 1900s. In 2004, this ensemble was strengthened by a generous gift by Fran and Ray Stark, consisting of 28 pieces by influential 20th century artists (Gasparotto, 2019).
The collections of the department could be seen mainly on the plaza floor of the traditional galleries of the Museum, with a couple of items on the second level.
