You will want to connect to the following machine:

luredir.hopto.org

This will take you through an external re-routing system to get you into the machine alderaan.lindenwood.edu in Young 313B. Once you have successfully done so, you should see an associated prompt on that machine.

If you ARE on the campus academic network:

you could also connect to bespin.lindenwood.edu, coruscant.lindenwood.edu, or

dagobah.lindenwood.edu . In PuTTY, this must be set through a GUI for creating a new connection. On a Unix based system, if your username is sjones on
alderaan.lindenwood.edu, this could be accomplished on the command line by typing the following within a terminal window:

If you had already connected to one of the above three machines instead of
alderaan.lindenwood.edu, you could now additionally connect to alderaan.lindenwood.edu as well:
