Introduction This is an individual assignment. Use the same hotel that you have chosen for the Rooms Division Management coursework assessment. Refer to Singapore Tourism Board website for resources required for the assignment.  You are encouraged to do further research to obtain data required. Format of written assignment The written assignment should be typed on A4 paper with 1.5 inch margin, double spaced, Arial font size 12. It should not exceed 2,000 words. You should also include a cover page with your name and admin number. Use the American Psychological Association (APA 6th Edition) referencing guidelines in Annex D for the proper referencing of all sources of information used in the written assignment. Important to note: Students caught plagiarising will be heavily penalised or given a fail grade. Fill-in the Plagiarism Declaration Form in Annex C and submit this together with the written assignment. Requirements 1. Hotel Facilities A brief introduction of accommodation, facilities (i.e. restaurants, bars and function space, spa, gym) and any ancillary facilities to complement the hotel facilities. (8 marks) 2. Market Segments and Distribution Channels Recommend and justify THREE (3) geographical segments and THREE (3) sources of business. Recommend THREE (3) distribution channels that the hotel should use to reach out to those market segments recommended by you. (12 marks) 3. Direct Competitors Identify any direct competitors and analyse how the hotel can compete with them. (12 marks) 4. Calendar of Events Identify and explain the events for the next 2 to 3 years that the hotel could target to secure more business. (8 marks) 5. Summary and Recommendations Based on your findings and analysis, recommend how the hotel can maximise revenue.
