We need 150 words to comment on the description below Good morning Team Working in a project could be very complex in a way that people do not come with a user manual and that unpredictability always impacts the outcome. while some people believe it is a negative impact, I will argue that it is part of the process and it helps to make a stronger relationship within the team members as part of my work experience as an executive account for a marketing agency, I realized how important those conflicts are and how they could be used to strengthen people´s trust and impact positively the final result, at the end of the day execution is what really matters. According to Hlahla (2013) Leaders should create the environment to observe and analyze every single team member outside of the workplace, as strengths and weaknesses are different in each individual, then leaders could use them according to the objectives and goals of the organization, so by the end, team members would feel they are making a positive impact on the organization and this reward makes stronger commitments beyond the business environment. When executing projects, a project manager or leader may encounter barriers like resistance to change, lack of knowledge, misleading communication and lack of awareness. Those barriers have been a topic of research of Anderson (2010) and the author has discovered that interpersonal skills are strongly important in terms of reaching an objective and counteracting those barriers, so a leader has the ability to motivate and make an impact on the team´s performance by believing in their strengths and use them to accomplish a common desire. One of the best factors to counteract those barriers, it is the ability to develop emotional intelligence, which according to Matthews, Zeidner & Roberts (2012), it is the capacity of understanding emotions and managing them in a wisely way. That surely helps Leaders and project managers to leads teams in an effective way and gain trust from the team members In conclusion, barriers are part of the process, and execution plays the main role when reaching a goal, it helps to put every single piece together and pursue a specific objective, likely it is directly related to a good leadership practice so the long term impact is even bigger and better. Some of these barriers can be internal as well as external. Internal barriers have to do with conditions within the organizations where leaders find themselves whilst external barriers have to do with factors outside the organization. One of the internal barriers faced by leaders has to do with the power of inside forces or coalitions within their organizations. According to Yukl G. (2013), internal factions or coalitions such as labour unions or other executives with strong power base may block changes a leader might want to make. According to Burke & Barron (2014), people normally resist changes that may threaten their power and status, contradicts their beliefs and values or required them to learn new ways of doing things. An external barrier could include market conditions. Today’s rapid changes in the business world is a major challenge to business leaders. Leaders need to make crucial decisions that will ensure the sustenance of their organizations as well as increase their competitiveness. These decisions according to Yukl G. (2013) could also be influenced by external stakeholders who dictate market conditions. Also, the decisions and action required may be limited by government or environmental regulations, labour laws, safety standards, legal obligations, technology and so on. Being able to manage the people – side (soft side) according to Anderson B. (2010) is crucial to the success or failure of an organization. The people – side of leadership include building relationships and communication. Being able to manage the people – side requires emotional intelligence. According to Muyia & Kacirek (2009), emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and understand one’s own emotional reaction and that of others. This requires self – awareness, self – regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. With this coupled with effective and efficient communication, leaders will be able to manage all relationships within their business environment so as to ensure success. References Anderson, B.
