Instructions

To prepare for this assessment you will select a listed company from an Aotearoa New Zealand context and/or an Iwi/Māori organisation to use as case studies. Your selection will need to be based on your ability to access the appropriate financial and reporting documents to critically analyse.

Using your selected case studies and referring to relevant literature to support your analyses, prepare a report that critically analyses the financial decision making by interpreting the financial statements of each. Your report will evaluate the profitability of the chosen organisation(s) via various valuation models, critically analyse working capital decisions, capital budgeting decisions, and make corresponding recommendations for improving future profitability.

Using your selected case studies your report will also critically analyse differences in financial decision making considerations for Iwi/Māori organisations.
