I can manage myself and know where I belong after analyzing my strengths, performance standards, and values. These help me in deciding where I belong. In my opinion, one of my greatest strengths is that I am a problem solver. I have the ability to foresee a situation and analyze the situation from various perspectives. I can get my work done even through obstacles. My communication skills are top-notch that help me in creating a positive and comforting atmosphere. I believe in a mediating conflict between the team members. My other strength is the writing and research skills. I can communicate ambiguous lessons to a different audience. I love to research and know more about things that make me an enthusiast.

I believe in performing with excellence when I decide to do something. I believe in increasing my work efficiency at every level of performance. I believe I am an effective listener. I give attention to the person talking to me but in a relaxed manner. I listen without judging and don't judge without listening. I try to picture what the speaker is saying by concentrating on phrases. I believe in making continuous efforts to learning through reading, writing and talking. I make efforts by acknowledging and assembling my surroundings. I improve the way I perform rather than changing myself too much.

Some of my core values are diligence, consistency, hard work, risk-taking, cheerfulness, integrity, cooperation, and zeal. I value the above characteristics in myself the most. I align my personal values with organizational goals. Values are the ultimate test of the organization. I function the best when people are honest and direct. Some of my other traits are energetic, passion and reasonableness that help me in effective decision making.

Considering the above strengths, performance levels and value, I see myself as an entrepreneur. I have a high level of confidence and focus that lets me in seeing myself as an entrepreneur. I enjoy personal satisfaction, stability, financial gain and do not see success without hard work. I have a practice of analyzing every situation from various perspectives that helps in revealing facts and figures from every research. Apart from investing in business, I invest in my personal self too.

Critical factors to be an outstanding manager in the multicultural environment

In my opinion, I need to have excellent leadership and managerial skills in a multicultural environment. Working in a multicultural environment can be very challenging. It is important to look for diversity as an opportunity and challenge for individual and organizational development. The culture of an organization is driven by the values of the organization. The complexities need to be addressed critically by being open to the differences.

It is critical to be aware of style, personal bias, and preferences of working. It is important to realize that every part of the level of organization has a unique culture. For instance, staff might interact in two different ways with executives and with each other. In large organizations, the senior management and junior employees may have different comfort levels and communication openness with each other. The clients must be notified at the beginning about the multicultural environment of the organization and that people have different ways of working.

From an organizational point of view, several key aspects such as assertiveness, body language, communication direction and styles, conflict, eye contact, humor, power, silence, time, information collection, gestures, power, physical space, time and wording are important for working in a multicultural environment. It is important to recognize the differences between people, activities and ways of working. It is not uncommon to experience any conflict or confusion while engaging in a team or group. It is necessary for the members to align with common organizational goals. Rather than talking about personal goals or vision, the members must talk about accomplishing the overall organizational goals.

The group dynamic is the key to cultural innovation. The working styles of men and women must also be respected as both have different ways. The men tend to have an aggressive a tough attitude while the women have an emotional and problem-solving nature. As a manager, it is important to understand the significance of leadership for long-term change. It would help in unlocking the mystery of working with employees of different cultural backgrounds. Such measure would also enable organizational development and sustain long-term change. Globalization and advancement in technologies are creating challenges for every organization. It is important for the managers to acquire a set of competencies for implementing the vision so that one can lead effectively. Global leaders need to develop leadership skills demanded in a global context.
