Answer:

1. The first consequence of withholding information would be result of lack of communication among team members. The second consequence would be lack of intention to share knowledge among the team member where knowledge should be considered as power in an organization and the third consequence would be the result of lack of trust among the team members, as they cannot tell each other what they know.

2. As a manager, I would like to approach by asking questions about how the employees are doing, how they feel about the work environment, productivity and workload

. There should be honest and open communication culture in the team for getting effective feedback. I would like to avoid defensiveness or defensive reactions to my team members all the time. This would help in getting effective feedback. As a manager, I would like build rapport with the team members to get feedbacks by asking professional and personal well-being of the employees. However, the managers need to be honest and try to gain the trust of the employees to get effective feedback.

3. Different issues could arise in the workplace that may affect work output and quality. The issues include stress, emotional problems in personal life of employees, heavy workload, and poor leadership from top management. Due to emotional problems, employees cannot perform to their fullest potential and it could cause poor productive result. The Stress works also similar way as that of emotional problem. On the others side, if the pressure of the workload is high and is increasing constantly, sometimes employees become discontented with the work and that reflects in the quality of the work. The leaders should motivate its employees, if a leader involves in punitive and aggressive behavior, it could directly affect the performance.

4. The organization should create a culture that would help to promote ethical behavior and ensure that the workers are happy in this atmosphere. The information what is acceptable and unacceptable in a workplace and difference between these two should be available to each of the employees presented by the organization. These standards should be written in the code of ethics or employees handbook. The other factors such as punishment regarding the sexual harassment, drug or alcohol abuse would also encourage in creating the ethical norms of an organization.

5. Extrovert and introvert employees work together in an organization and it is expected that they will overcome the personality differences to reach a common business goal. As the extroverts can talk nicely and friendlier way, the manager should know how to moderate the emotional overpowering tendency of an extrovert, otherwise, the clients who want to remain strictly in the business term, could be mistrusted by the behavior of an extrovert employee. On the other hand, a manager could talk personally to an introvert about any business issue, as introverts generally are the shy people.

6. As a manager, I would like to employ different business networking methods. Based on the introduction and referrals, I would like to employ face-to-face meetings or other contact methods by e-mails, phone calls text messaging, communication through business and social networking sites. As a manager, I would gain information related to increasing business value, advice from good advisors, more business opportunities, and more connections related to the business.

7. Effective Performance Management Plan will achieve the highest performance achievement from the employees and fulfill the strategic objectives of an organization. Performance Management Plan is a recurring process of communication between the employees and supervisor about how to improve the performance. The effective communication process includes setting objectives, clarifying expectations, identifying goals, giving feedbacks and reviewing the results. Successful application of the Performance Management Plan would result in highest level of performance from an employee’s end. Thus, Performance management Plan would help an organization to achieve its final business goal.

8. Stuffs could perform below the standards due to several reasons. It could be problems in his or her personal life, heavy workload, poor leadership or perceived discrimination. As a manager, I could arrange for counseling to overcome the problems related to personal life. To minimize the heavy workload, I could distribute the work among the other team members. I would like to recruit friendly leaders who would motivate the team members to work properly. There should not be any form of discrimination and as a manager; I would like to create an environment that would not allow any form of discrimination.
