The job profile of a healthcare administrator requires me to formulate plans, coordinate and monitor the different functions of other healthcare facilities in the setting and all the staff who are currently employed there.

Health reimbursement programs reimburse the service users for out-of-pocket clinical expenses. However, educating the staff is a challenging procedure. In a team environment, it often becomes thought-provoking to define a universal language, given the exceptional personalities, dissimilar communication styles, knowledge, of the distributed team. Hence, an informal mitigation policy would be to encourage in-person meetings with the staff, practice positive intent, display active listening skills, empathy, and open-mindedness. Therefore, defining a universal communication language that is specific to the staff of the concerned team will facilitate averting communication challenges and help them understand the requirements for meeting the reimbursement performance objectives (Zwarenstein et al., 2013). I have also encountered internal conflict under situations that involve even the most cohesive teams. Upon managing correctly, conflict can be utilized in the form of a channeling mechanism that promotes innovation and growth. I will align on the team standards and processes, for ensuring operational consistency. Providing real-time feedback to address the up-front issues will also help in the same. Encouragement of decision making related to reimbursement for removing personal attachment and emotions will also help in conflict management (Singer, 2018). Thus, if the staff display a collaborative mindset, their opportunity will get maximized for success of the objectives.

To conclude, I intend to accomplish the goal of educating the staff on meeting performance objectives for reimbursement from government-sponsored programs by following the principles of communication and conflict resolution.
