At the point of re-referral, Joe’s GP reported an increase in missed health appointments and said that concern had been expressed about Derek’s presentation and behaviour at a recent hospital appointment. Initial inquiries revealed that Laura was attending the local primary school and making slow but steady progress.  School staff reported that her attendance was acceptable, with occasional absences and late arrivals. Her physical presentation was described as poor and she had been noted to arrive without a coat on cold winter mornings.

Joe was attending the nursery(early learning centre) attached to the school and the staff were extremely pleased with his progress. The aim of the child centered practice is to introduce a set of rules and practice that will help to improve the health and social condition of children.

Child Centered practice and Development 

According to Kemp et al., (2014), it is essential for all the elders to maintain a sense of dignity and respect with the children, which helps them in better ways of development. The aim of the child centered Practice is to make a plan for fulfilling the needs of the children and ensure that they are able to deal with all the challenges of childhood. Analysis of the Case Study 

In the given case Joe has been raised in a non healthy condition as his parents are addicted to drugs. Joe has been denied from the basic child care rights, where he has been raised with in an unfavorable condition. The violent behavior shown by Joe’s father has negative impact on the psychological development of the child. Joe also has faced several health challenges right from the time of birth. This first caused due to the fact because mother Jose mother had been in an unhealthy pregnancy period. Hence, the child has been denied from all basic principles of child centered Practice. It is the duty of the social workers to ensure that Joe gets the opportunity to be raised in a healthy atmosphere, which will help in overcoming the health challenges. Due to the negligence of Joe’s parent, the health condition of the child deteriorated and many other complications arises.  Being over exposed to drugs at the young age, the brain development of the child was ceased. Moreover, being raised in an unhealthy atmosphere, the behavioral development of the child also got affected. With help of the support that is provided by the social care workers, Joe has been able to attend a local school. In spite of the parenting care issue, Joe has been able to have a good time in the school that has raised the hope of better future of the child. The principal of Child Centered Practice has helped Joe to have a Well-being life and also ensure that he can overcome all health issues.

In case of Joe, who has been the victim of poor parenting care, the social health care workers has ensured that Joe get the chance of health and education benefit.
