ITECH5500 IOT in Health Care Centres

Each student is required to present an oral presentation or seminar of his/her research project. This presentation is expected to take approximately 10-12 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes for questions and comments from the audience. You are required to use presentation software (PowerPoint or so) for the purpose of this presentation.

This assessment gives the student an opportunity to demonstrate the key aspects of their research work to an audience and also to receive feedback on their research and the study conducted towards achieving the outcomes. The student will present a detailed overview of the study. The student should be prepared to answer questions about any aspect of the study. The following is a sample structure of a research presentation [Note: This is a guide ONLY structure, you are required to make your own structure covering all the key aspects of your own research.

• Introduction:
o Background, context, overview
o Purpose of the study
• Summary of Research Questions and Purpose:
o Research questions, aims, hypotheses that are clear and specific
o Definition of the paradigm and methodology chosen for the study, including the
rationale for the choice; introduction to conceptual or theoretical framework
• Summary of Relevant Literature:
o Current, balanced, relevant, significant

Answer:

Increase in internet has increased the need of Internet of Things (IOT) in the Health care industry.Internet of Things ensures personalization related to healthcare services With the increment of Information Technology, there is a high need of smart devices in healthcare centers. The proposal aims at presenting a detailed overview of the importance of IOT in Health care centres

With the availability of different technological things, different application which developed IoT based One of the most important sector which mostly dep

ends on the Internet of Things is healthcare centers. With the increment of Information Technology in every aspect of life, there is a need of smart devices in the healthcare centers (Darwish et al., 2017).

research question

What is the importance of IoT in healthcare centres What is the affectivity of IoT in providing better healthcare services

Why is IoT better than any other approaches for healthcare centres To study the importance of Internet of Things in healthcare centers To study the influence on IOT in health care services To study what earlier researchers have identified as the importance of IOT in providing best and effective healthcare services.

Many problems in the health care systems remains undetected in traditional health care systems (Kodali, Swamy & Lakshmi, 2015).There is  lack of medical facilities for tracking the history of patients which provides an effective treatment (Islam et al., 2015)

H1: With the increment of applications in the healthcare centers there is requirement of the wearable technologies that are increasing with their need (Da Xu et al., 2014). The medical applications available for monitoring the human body are mostly not comfortable to wear. The Internet of Things are capable of maintaining all the records of the patients that are available by integrating the ECG, SpO2 as well as accelerometer sensors.

H2: Internet of Things are sensing capabilities which are necessary for the smarter things (Fernandez & Pallis,  (2014).Research philosophy- the belief about the way in which the data regarding a particular phenomenon is gathered.Chosen research philosophy- positivism philosophy Research approach- is the plan which consists of broad assumptions of detailed method of analysis and data collection.

Chosen research approach- deductive approach Research design- the overall strategy that is chosen for integrating the different components Chosen research design- descriptive research design

Survey Questionnaire

Many studies have been conducted to study the various aspects of IoT and its importance but there are only few which have focused on its importance in health care services IoT is a revolutionizing Internet work (Li, Da & Zhao, 2015)The approach of Internet of Things helps to reduce the monopoly of the traditional hospitals.

The government can run the healthcare facilities with the help of IoT to provide a fair community of patients (He & Zeadally, 2015).The IoT provides the development of the medical wearable comfortable. The healthcare is becoming more reliable with the involvement of IoT (Pang et al., 2015)

Smooth interaction between the user and the application by combining wireless networks such as NFC (Near Field Communication), Wireless sensor network (WSN), Bluetooth, LPWA (low-power wide-area networks), and LoRa (Long Range Wide Area Networks).usecondary data collection method qualitative research data collection method quantitative research data collection method
