It is true that globalization has contributed to the world economy and culture but the impacts of globalization on religion also cannot be ignored. The globalization has made the third word so captive to the master world. The article “Religion under Globalization “puts some argues on certain impacts of globalization on religion.  After much exploration on the existing empirical studies and practical situations, it has been found that the significance and value of religion declines with the success of globalization throughout the world. The article also presents some major consequences of globalization.

As argued by the author of the article globalization has caused transmogrification of the traditional beliefs on religions. Globalization has contributed to the acceleration of terrorism, fundamentalism and extremis attributing them to the name of religion. The role of religion is to provide moral and spiritual support to mankind and it has various approaches such as philosophical sociological, anthropological and many others. However, this sole purpose of religion is getting distorted by the rapid globalization which has been shown by certain contextual examples by the author.  The article has mentioned about the major religions of the world and Christianity among them has occupied the maximum percentage.  In the concluding paragraph the article recommends that if the third world wants to stay individual, the US empire has to be disabled first which is the sucking the life out like a vampire.  In this respect it can be suggested that in order to experience the beauty of religion, one must get back to the roots of tradition. Peace will be restored only in this way.
