Reflection on learning workshop

This week we have done lots of presentation that go on well. In this week module, the importance of design thinking. Specifically learned about the fundamental steps to resolve the problem. It was an interesting module as is started to take part in the workshop sessions. However, in the second week, the lecture began with the difference between design and business activities that are underlying the method of decision making, process, values and the level of focus. Similar to this the first week of the round was extremely communicate and exciting. The process of design thinking was classified into five major steps: empathy, definition, ideate and prototype (Savery, 2015).

While progressing through this step I noticed that many of us within the group used identical 10 tools. However, I liked the group focusing on the problem related to the café, where we all had to define and identify the problem using different tools. In each of step, the designer was needed to think so that the designer could develop the product in a way to solve the problem (Mintrom & Luetjens, 2016). Therefore, the tool of empathy is a common tool for all the designer. Again on the stage of Idea, the designer had to start generating the idea that was really a creative feeling where we got an opportunity to think out of the box for reaching a possible idea. The entire learning session using tools was exciting where I got the chance to prepare to launch a plan for group work. I could, therefore, compare my work in relation to others according to the marking rubric.

The entire learning phases along with the group were worth attending that helped me to gain extensive knowledge about design and module.
