Asia-Pacific Multinational

Introduction 

Asia is known to obtain more than one-third of the entire number of big organizations which operate in the world. This is the major reason behind the position that has been achieved by Asia based in the members list of Global 2000. The multinational corporations that operate in Asia have acquired around 600 spots in Global 2000 based list. The multinational corporations which belong to Asia have also started increasing largely from 2003. The different multinational corporations which are a part of the Asia Pacific have thereby started gaining global spots in different surveys.

Asian multinational organizations have thereby attained a position in Fortune Global 500 list. Around 40% of the total number of organizations from Asia Pacific has created a position in Fortune 500 list. The companies which belong to America and Europe have on the other hand have obtained 28% and 30% in this list. The organizations which are a part of different global lists are led by the financial institutions based in different countries of Asia( Agyapong, Ellis and Domeher 2016).

The analysis made in the report will be related to different factors which are related to five different multinational organizations that have their bases in Asia Pacific. The companies which have been considered for the analysis are, Toyota, Samsung Electronics, Huawei Technologies, TECO and Mitsubishi Corporation.


Mitsubishi Corporation – Japan  

Strategy implemented by Mitsubishi 

Mitsubishi is a multinational organization that was established in Japan in the year 1917. The company has thereby developed the position of sixteenth largest producer of cars in the world. The three different varieties of products which are manufactured by Mitsubishi include, commercial vehicles, economy cars and automobiles. The strategy based on segmentation targeting and positioning is used by the organization. The groups of customers are divided with the help of different factors which are demographic, geographic and psychographic segmentation (Bedford 2018). The strategy based on target market has also been applied by the company so that effective products can be provided to consumers. Mitsubishi has applied the cost leadership strategy so that the operations can be profitable in nature (Asseraf and Shoham 2015).

Corporate structure of Mitsubishi Corporation

The organizational structure of Mitsubishi is hierarchical in natured and the base of the company is located in Japan. The subordinates of the company are different entities which operate under Mitsubishi Corporation (Black and Morrison 2014). Core capabilities of Mitsubishi Corporation

The most important part of the success which has been gained by Mitsubishi in the industry is based on six capabilities which have been gained in the industry. Role played by the government in operations of Mitsubishi Corporation

The government of the country has been able to play an important role in development of growth and operations of Mitsubishi in automobile industry. The organization has thereby depicted high amounts of growth by merging its operations and acquiring different organizations based on its requirements. The profitability based levels of Mitsubishi were thereby affected by establishment of different competitors in the industry. The operations of the company were also diversified in an effective way which was affected by the government in a huge manner.

Toyota – Japan 

Strategy implemented by Toyota Corporation 

The marketing based strategy that has been implemented by Toyota is based on penetration pricing which has played a major role in development of its share in the market. The main purpose that laid behind effective implementation is based on increasing awareness about the products and further entering the market with the help of its products. Toyota has thereby aimed setting prices for the products which are lower as compared to its competitors. The strategy related to guerrilla marketing has been implemented by Toyota in the industry. This is considered to be a new marketing strategy which can has been implemented by the company for operating in a profitable manner.

Corporate organizational structure of Toyota Corporation  

The organizational structure or hierarchy of Toyota is based on large number of business based units which are operated by the organization in different parts of the world. The structure which is thereby implemented by the company is hierarchical in nature and the goals and strategic aims are also effectively supported by the structure of business. The success levels and effectiveness of Mitsubishi is based on effective maintenance of the functions and achievement of the goals as well.

Toyota Corporation has also been able to develop some core capabilities which are based on different set of the resources which are possessed. The capabilities have played a major role in the strategy and performance of the company. Asia had faced high levels of financial crisis in the years 2008 which had immense effects on the operations of Toyota Corporation. Samsung Electronics - Japan

The most important parts of strategies which have been implemented by Samsung are related to the development and growth of the company in technology industry of the country. There are different kinds of needs which are changing in nature which plays an essential role for the growth of the Samsung Electronics. Samsung is being able to spark in terms of the innovation and not the satisfaction of the different needs of the society. The respective strategy helps in building the proper trust along with building of relationship which helps in development of the bond among the different customers in the market.

TECO Electric & Machinery Co. Ltd is one of the organizations which was established in the year 1956 and this has evolved into the big kind of business group in the present scenario. The respective organization helps in the manufacturing of the different equipments which are electric in nature along with electric components of Information Technology and they are operating in more than 100 cities in the entire world. The respective organization tried to develop the core business activities in such a manner which will help in adding value to the customers purchase. The respective company is one of the most effective kinds of telecommunication companies which has helped the entire world by providing the different services which are successful and this has helped in gaining competitive advantage in the overall market as well. The structure which is being followed at Huawei is hierarchical in nature which helped the company in becoming profitable in nature. The different kinds of decisions which are being taken by the organization along with the different higher officials are required to be followed by the middle and lower level employees working in the organization in an efficient manner. The respective kind of structure is being followed which helped the company in maintaining proper relationships and this helped in implementing the decisions which is effective in nature.

The different kinds of core competencies and capabilities of the company are the various kinds of resources which is helpful in becoming competitive in their approach. The financial capital of the company is huge in nature and this has been possible with the implementation of proper enhancement of the technological advancements which will be beneficial for the success of the organization effectively. The organization tried to employ more than 20000 employees and this has proved that the company is effective in nature in becoming more effective in their operations as well (Close and Askew 2017).

Implications of Government on Operations of Huawei

The solution which is based on ICT is the one which has been taken by the government of Huawei and this is highly effective in the overall functioning of the company. The secured kind of operations of the government at Huawei has helped them in becoming more effective in their approaches and this is helpful in becoming more effective in the approach which is essential for gaining competitive advantage (Newby 2018).

Therefore, this can be concluded from the above that the different kinds of multinational companies in Asia-Pacific regions have been able to become successful in the different kinds of operations which are being performed by them. The structure of the companies played a major role in becoming more effective towards the approach and this helped them in becoming successful in the different operations which are being performed by the companies efficiently.
