Answer:

Introduction

Subway organization is one of the biggest well-known fast food franchises in Australia operating in various regions in the country by supplying a range of foods such as the fresh meat, fruits, and all various raw and already prepared foods2. It has the headquarters in Melbourne where it comprises of well-trained IT professionals who ensure the operations of various offices are well functioning. The report will aim at analyzing the network systems and its components in Subway organization that has in turn led to the overall success of the organization.

Findings

Network Design and Flow Plan

The organization uses the LAN network design since the head offices are constructed such that they are all located in one small geographical area. The network channel uses the IEEE 802.11 protocol due to the wide range of frequency it offers to the network. Also, the flow of the packet at each edge is regulated by a certain capacity such that it cannot exceed the given capacity. The organization packet flow involves sending and receiving the packets from one point to the other.

ADS, AP, BSS and ESS Information

The DS-3E0105P-E is used in the network switch as their Differentiated Service (DS) since it requires no configuration. Wireless built-in routers are used as a networking Access Point, and it also uses some network cables that connect a close internal office device. An Access Point is connected to the wired networks within the wireless network terming it as Basic Service Set (BSS)1. Moreover, there are more than two BSS in the organization that forms a single subnet to provide an extension of a range of mobility to the network packets. This is referred to as the Extended Service Set (ESS).

Used devices, range, frequency, IEEE substandard

Computers and wireless routers are part of the network devices used in the organization. Modems are present as a backup solution in case of the wireless routers functionality issue. The WLAN channel used offers a range of radio frequency; 4, 5, 5.9 and 60 GHz. Cat 5e and Cat 6 are used for smaller offices (offers up to 100MHz and 250MHz) while Cat 6a is used in bigger offices (offers up to 500MHz).

Cos Analysis

The network design has been a crucial part in reducing the cost and the delay time in packet transfer and also communication within and outside the organization. The networking devices are most advanced ensuring fast data transmission thus, generally, reducing the cost as compared to the use of outdated network devices.

Conclusion

The investment in networking has boosted the organization operation, therefore, creating a positive image for the employees and their customers. Use of the updated network devices has ensured a continuous information flow from one point to another.

Recommendation

To ensure continued success in its production, the organization should keep on using the latest networking devices which have been tested to be of high-quality output. Additionally, it is recommended for the organization to consider the use of security software solutions and other practices within the offices that ensure the office information is out of any attacks.
