Quenstion:

Identify change requirements of the project and critically analyse how the requirements introduce changes to the project management plan, process groups and life cycle of the project.

Answer:

In order to shorten the project duration time, project activities are outsourcing. In my point of view, critical path technique is the best way to reduce the project time. Resources are added to the critical path activities. I am agreed with the decision that implementation of changes in the project requires change management report. The consequences, which are associated with the changes, are discussed with the project manager followed by the recommendations for each change.

From the Nightingale project, three constraints are identified as budget, schedule as well as quality. Within the main post, the student does not take any measures to manage the triple constraints. The constraints are managed by identifying the project requirements, establishment of objectives, balancing demands for quality, budget as well as schedule (Burke, 2013). I agreed with the statement that due to implementation of outsourcing, the life cycle of project is affected, a new WBS is structured. Apart from the WBS, there is a requirement of revised project schedule and budget for the management plan.

Various risks are identified in the main post such as breakdown of coordination, control loss, disagreement between team members and safety issues, but no mitigation steps are taken. In my point of view, there is a need of a plan for managing the risk within the organization. The plan will mitigate the identified risks. Risk strategies are implemented which consists of four steps. One is to avoid the identified risk, the risks are reduced, then it is accepted and finally the risks are outsourced (Kerzner, 2013). An alternative method should require using to achieve project goals such as contingency plan.

I am agreed with that if the deliverables are according to project specifications, the project plan may fail when the stockholders are not happy with the project work. Therefore, it is required to measure their satisfaction level by use of online surveys and conducting brainstorming session. Survey gathers and measures stockholder satisfaction with the project progress report. On the other hand, brainstorming session takes input from the stockholders by scheduling meetings, facilitating discussions with the team members towards achieving goals. The meetings are conducted to discuss project status and progress, quality data and outcomes of project.
